You can do much better than this hotel. It is not bad - but it is not good either. The hotel staff were completely indifferent to us on the various times of interaction. Front desk, Bell men, Concierge all made no effort on any request. The room for the price had issues, ceiling paint in bathroom was flaking, wall paper was peeling, etc. Look elsewhere.

The hotel was nice, but before we even walked in the door in the hotel drop off area we were approached by two people asking for money. However, while we were bringing our bags after checking in the hotel guard asked us to move our car if we were not going to pay for valet parking. If this man would pay more attention to panhandlers it would have been nice. Don't pay for valet, there is a lot that connects to the hotel. Also our heater did not work. But we weren't charged for our internet in the room, which was nice.

Stayed here for 2 nights this past weekend. Very nice hotel and the location is exceptional. Room was clean, although a bit worn looking. Staff was very good for the most part, but don't try to ask a question of the Information desk 3 minutes before they close or they'll ignore you until closing time and then point out that you'll need to come back in the morning for help. We got a fabulous deal on our weekend getaway so that one instance of rudeness was somewhat bearable... hope their customers paying normal prices don't get the same treatment!

Stayed Dec 25 -28, 2009. The hotel was fantastic! The room was HUGE and Beautifully decorated and very clean. I called and asked were I could heat up my baby's bottle and they brought me a microwave to put in my room immediately. We checked in late, so we order Room Service, the food (steak dish, chicken dish and other) was delicious and delivered fast. They have internet/computer /printer usage for hotel guest in the lobby. Very helpful because I had to book our train (ViaRail) trip and was able to print all the information there. The lobby is huge. The only minus thing I have to say was the breakfast buffet at the hotel restaurant was pricey about $* per adult and $* per child and the room was a little warm because they have the temperature preset ( you cannot adjust it) for the season. They offered a fan, but we opt for opening the small window instead, however it did not make too much of a difference, but it was alright. The hotel is VERY busy, but very nice, with a very nice friendly and helpful staff. The girl at check-in was a sweet heart, she gave us crayons and coloring books for the kids. The girl at the Guest Service desk was also very nice and helpful with information on restaurants, tours any information requested, etc. The hotel is very centrally located. Not much night life, but busy during the day, near shopping, restaurants etc. The only sad thing is there are a lot of homeless in the area, 3-4 in every block. I felt better after I saw on TV the Salvation Army goes around feeding them hot meals in the winter. Overall it was a great experience.

Stayed here for a couple of nights in July 09. They had a * special which is amazing for a downtown hotel..especially when they are usually 200 and up. When we came back after shopping in the afternoon they had lemonade and a popcorn machine in the lobby...everything free. It was very good and the kids liked this alot. The exercise room had alot of machines and a nice pool but the hottub spa was not working properly and was dirty. If you can get the special at *, this is the hotel to book. Convenient to shopping on trendy Queen West. Actually, its near everything in downtown Toronto. I had to give my parking receipt to the frontdesk and there was a very long lineup but the concierge gladly took it and told me he would hand it in for me. Parking was $*..valet and underground. You can get $* parking across the street at city parking but use that only if you don't plan on moving your vehicle...otherwise it will be alot more than $* We are booking the $* special again this month!
